I bought several of these books to give to customers and they couldn't be happier. Every time I visit them, well almost every time, they comment on how good the recipes are and how funny the stories are. I fully recommend this book to anyone who likes good food. And obviously it would make a great gift.
I love A Low Country Affair. It is a wonderfully-written cookbook that includes stories & antecdotes about the author's life growing up on the coast of North Carolina. It is a must for any southern cook's home! I use it as a reference in my kitchen everyday. Every recipe I have tried has been delectable. As a cookbook collector, this is a prized piece in my library, & I highly recommend purchasing it!
We have found the Low Country Affair cookbook to be a great source for great coastal cooking recipies. The author seems to pull from real life experience and weaves humor and nice photos that all in all, makes preparing these dishes fun. A+
I just got this book and i can already can't wait to try these recipes! The cookbook is easy to navigate and has pretty pictures throughout the book of different coastal places along with stories from the author and quotes about the south. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted a great cookbook full of recipes for seafood plus some for land animals )
